Water Filter Donation Project

Today we have provided water filter to GTMS School, Adampan Kilinochchi which is sponsored by Mr. Siveswaran.

At the Rotary Club of Chunnakam Heritage (Rotary District 3220, Sri Lanka & Maldives), ensuring access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene remains one of our paramount avenues of humanitarian service. Safe drinking water in schools is a fundamental necessity that directly protects student health, boosts classroom focus, and supports regular school attendance.
Today, we take great pride in announcing the successful installation and handover of a high-capacity, multi-stage water filtration unit to GTMS School, Adampan, Kilinochchi, ensuring clean and purified drinking water for hundreds of young learners, teachers, and school staff.

In many rural and semi-urban communities, groundwater sources often suffer from high mineral hardness, seasonal contamination, and turbidity, posing ongoing risks of waterborne illnesses. Installing a dedicated, modern filtration system directly within the school grounds provides immediate, life-changing benefits:
