At the Rotary Club of Chunnakam Heritage (Rotary District 3220, Sri Lanka & Maldives), basic education, literacy promotion, and child welfare stand as paramount priorities in our humanitarian mission. Ensuring young students are equipped with essential educational tools directly empowers their learning, builds self-worth, and breaks socioeconomic barriers across vulnerable rural communities.

Under the prestigious Sustainable Lanka Project, our club organized a comprehensive educational outreach drive, distributing brand-new, branded Rotary school bags and complete stationery kits directly to students of two deserving schools:

• Thampoddy Government Mixed School

• Punkuduthevu Sri Ganesha Maha Vidyalayam

For families living in remote island and rural regions, the recurring cost of backpacks, notebooks, and writing materials can place heavy pressure on tight domestic budgets. Distributing quality school essentials directly within the school environment provides transformative and immediate benefits:
