Joint Meeting with Vavuniya Rotaract Club
At the Rotary Club of Chunnakam Heritage (Rotary District 3220, Sri Lanka & Maldives), building strong bridges with the next generation of leaders stands at the heart of our service mission. Fostering active collaboration between Rotary and Rotaract creates an energetic exchange of fresh ideas, dynamic leadership, and shared community vision, empowering youth to drive meaningful grassroots change across the Northern Province.
Recently, our club proudly organized and conducted an inspiring Joint Meeting with the Rotaract Club of Vavuniya, bringing together experienced Rotarians and dynamic young Rotaractors in a spirit of fellowship, collaboration, and mutual growth.
Strengthening Rotary-Rotaract Synergy and Youth Leadership
Joint meetings serve as a vital platform for intergenerational dialogue, joint project planning, and leadership development. The session was thoughtfully structured to align our community goals and enhance youth participation across several core areas:
-
Collaborative Community Initiatives: Leaders from both clubs discussed upcoming humanitarian projects, exploring opportunities for joint execution in public health, youth empowerment, environmental sustainability, and basic education.
-
Mentorship & Professional Development: Experienced Rotarians shared valuable career and leadership insights, offering guidance to emerging young professionals and university students within the Rotaract movement.
-
Brainstorming Innovative Solutions: The energetic exchange provided a platform for Rotaractors to pitch innovative, youth-led service concepts while benefiting from Rotary’s project planning and governance experience.
-
Cultivating Fellowship & District Bonds: The meeting strengthened the fellowship between Chunnakam Heritage and the youth of Vavuniya, reinforcing District 3220’s commitment to united, borderless community service.
The vibrant energy, active discussions, and shared enthusiasm throughout the meeting reaffirmed the tremendous potential of partnering with passionate youth to make a lasting community impact.
Sincere Appreciation to the Rotaract Club of Vavuniya
