Objectives of the Campaign
The primary objectives of the Drug Awareness Campaign were:
To Educate Students: The campaign aimed to educate students about the dangers of drug abuse and its long-term consequences. Through a detailed and engaging session, students were provided with factual information on the harmful effects of various drugs, as well as the legal, social, and psychological implications of addiction.
To Promote Healthy Lifestyle Choices: The campaign also focused on promoting healthy, drug-free lifestyle choices. By informing students about positive coping mechanisms and alternatives to substance abuse, the campaign aimed to equip them with the necessary tools to avoid the temptation of drugs.
To Provide Support Resources: Another key goal was to make students aware of available support systems for individuals struggling with drug-related issues. The collaboration with the VNRC ensured that students were informed about the resources they could access if they or someone they know needed help.
To Foster Community Collaboration: By partnering with local authorities and community organizations such as the Divisional Secretary’s office and the VNRC, the campaign aimed to strengthen the collective community effort to tackle drug abuse.
