Drug Awareness Campaign at Arunodaja College, Alaveddy

On November18, 2024, the Rotary Club of Chunnakam Heritage successfully conducted a Drug Awareness Campaign at Arunodaja College, Alaveddy, in collaboration with the Divisional Secretary of Tellippalai and the Volunteer National Red Cross (VNRC). The objective of this initiative was to raise awareness among students about the dangers of drug abuse and to encourage them to make informed, responsible decisions regarding substance use. The session was led by Mr. Premrajah, an expert in drug prevention, who shared valuable insights into the health, psychological, and social impacts of drug abuse.

Objectives of the Campaign

The primary objectives of the campaign were:

To Educate Students on the Dangers of Drug Abuse: The campaign aimed to provide students with accurate and comprehensive information about the various forms of drugs and their harmful effects on physical and mental health. It aimed to equip them with knowledge on how to recognize and avoid potential drug abuse situations.
