Malaysia Rotary District 3300 Rotarians & Sri Lanka Rotary District 3220 Meet at Hilton Hotel Colombo
At the Rotary Club of Chunnakam Heritage (Rotary District 3220, Sri Lanka & Maldives), building international goodwill, nurturing cross-border fellowship, and driving impactful humanitarian partnerships are at the core of our global service vision. Rotary’s international reach unites compassionate leaders from across different nations to combine resources, share innovative solutions, and address vital community challenges together.
Recently, an inspiring high-level fellowship meeting took place as visiting Rotarians and district leaders from Rotary International District 3300 (Malaysia) gathered with leaders and Rotarians of Rotary International District 3220 (Sri Lanka & Maldives) at the Hilton Hotel, Colombo.
Fostering International Fellowship and Collaborative Humanitarian Action
The gathering at the Hilton Colombo served as a distinguished platform to celebrate the enduring bonds of friendship between Malaysia and Sri Lanka while laying strategic groundwork for future collaborative projects. Rotarians from both districts engaged in rich discussions across essential avenues of community service:
-
Expanding Joint Humanitarian Initiatives: Leaders reviewed ongoing collaborative efforts—including educational assistance, school resource distributions, and community welfare programs—and explored opportunities to expand joint projects across underserved rural and island regions.
-
District and Global Grant Collaborations: The meeting provided a forum to discuss potential partnerships leveraging The Rotary Foundation (TRF), focusing on sustainable water sanitation, maternal and child healthcare, and basic literacy.
-
Inter-District Fellowship and Cultural Exchange: Rotarians shared insights on club administration, leadership development, and youth empowerment strategies, strengthening institutional ties between District 3300 and District 3220.
-
Reaffirming Shared Rotary Values: The delegates reaffirmed their mutual dedication to Rotary International’s global mission, celebrating unity, diversity, and the spirit of serving communities in need.
The exchange of club banners, warm camaraderie, and collaborative vision made the evening an exceptional celebration of international Rotary solidarity.
Sincere Gratitude to District 3300 and District 3220 Leadership
Meaningful international cooperation is fueled by the dedication of visionary leaders who recognize that humanitarian service transcends geographic boundaries.
We extend our deepest, most heartfelt gratitude to the visiting Rotarians and leadership delegation of Rotary International District 3300, Malaysia, for their gracious presence, sustained friendship, and proactive interest in supporting community initiatives across Sri Lanka. Their commitment to international fellowship continues to inspire clubs across our district.
We also express our sincere appreciation to the District Governor, District leadership team, and Rotarians of Rotary International District 3220 for hosting this productive gathering and fostering an environment of collaboration and mutual respect.
