Today We Did a Joint Meeting with Malaysia Rotary District 3300 and Rotary Club of Jaffna Peninsula

At the Rotary Club of Chunnakam Heritage (Rotary District 3220, Sri Lanka & Maldives), building international goodwill, fostering intercultural fellowship, and establishing cross-border partnerships are central to expanding our humanitarian impact. Rotary’s global network is its greatest strength, uniting service-minded leaders across continents to address pressing community needs and create lasting change.
Today marked an inspiring milestone as our club hosted and participated in a vibrant Joint Meeting alongside visiting delegates from Rotary International District 3300 (Malaysia) and fellow members of the Rotary Club of Jaffna Peninsula.

Strengthening Global Bonds and Collaborative Service

Joint meetings offer a valuable platform to exchange perspectives, celebrate shared values, and explore collaborative avenues for sustainable regional development. The gathering brought together dedicated Rotarians to dialogue on pressing community challenges and identify actionable solutions across key priority areas:
  • Cross-Border Humanitarian Partnerships: Exploring joint international projects in basic education, maternal health, disease prevention, and clean water access across vulnerable rural and island communities in the Northern Province.
  • Sustainable Community Development: Reviewing impactful community models—such as the Sustainable Lanka Project—and assessing opportunities for future District and Global Grants backed by international fellowship.
  • Cultural and Professional Exchange: Sharing practical insights on club administration, youth empowerment, and innovative membership engagement strategies between Malaysian and Sri Lankan clubs.
  • Rotary Fellowship & Synergy: Reaffirming our shared commitment to Rotary International’s global mission, strengthening the bonds of friendship between District 3300 and District 3220.
The warm conversations, lively discussions, and exchange of club banners created an atmosphere filled with mutual respect, fellowship, and forward-looking determination.
