Milk Powder Distribution – Kilinochchi

Today, we distributed dry milk powder to the flood-affected 44 families in the Jeyapuram, Kilinochchi area. Thanks for the generous support to Rotary District 3220.

At the Rotary Club of Chunnakam Heritage (Rotary District 3220, Sri Lanka & Maldives), swift disaster response, child nutrition, and grassroots humanitarian relief remain central to our community mission. When seasonal downpours and sudden flooding submerge rural villages, access to basic kitchen supplies, clean food, and essential nutrition becomes severely restricted, placing young children, nursing mothers, and elderly residents at immediate risk.
Continuing our dedicated flood relief operations across the Northern Province, our club mobilized today to distribute high-quality dry milk powder packs directly to 44 flood-affected families in the Jeyapuram, Kilinochchi area.

In rural communities like Jeyapuram, standing floodwaters cut off regular market access, submerge domestic cooking spaces, and disrupt daily wage labor. Supplying shelf-stable dry milk powder delivers targeted, practical relief designed to maintain health and stability during crisis periods:
